Trap loops to build on
Hard 808s, rolling hats and the sound most of the last decade was built on. Browse verified producers working in modern, melodic and street trap.
What Trap loops usually bring
A trap loop is usually the melody and the atmosphere, not the drums. Loop makers tend to hand over dark keys, bells, plucks, flutes, choirs or a guitar figure, cut to four or eight bars and left open at the low end so the 808 and the hi-hats have somewhere to go.
Tempo sits between about 130 and 160 BPM, most often near 140, and the loop is written for a half-time feel: long notes and slow chord changes that still sound full when the snare only lands on beat three. Minor keys dominate. A loop that already moves in fast eighth notes will fight the hi-hats, so the best trap loops leave space rather than fill it.
Collaborating on Trap loops
The usual shape of a trap collaboration is simple. The loop maker brings the melody, the collaborator builds the drums, the 808 and the arrangement, and the finished beat goes out under both names. Because the loop is the part people remember, loop makers are commonly credited as co-producers, and the split is best agreed before the beat is released rather than after it lands somewhere.
On ColabLoop, you ask the loop's owner to build on it, and if they accept, a private room opens with the full WAV to take into your own DAW. When the beat is released, both of you attest that the owner is on the split. ColabLoop records those attestations; registering the split with a PRO or distributor is still yours to do.
