User-Generated Content Policy

You retain full ownership of every audio file you upload — your copyright, your master rights and your publishing stay yours. Uploading to ColabLoop transfers nothing. We never acquire the right to sell, license, distribute or exploit your audio, and we do not claim any share of what it earns.

To host your work at all we need a narrow permission, and it is limited to running the service. You grant ColabLoop a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, encode and transmit your audio solely in order to:

• store the file and serve it back to you;
• generate the waveform image and the shortened, lower-quality preview;
• submit it to our automated copyright screening provider;
• display your loop and its preview in search and on your profile;
• deliver the full-quality file to a producer whose collaboration request you accepted.

That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for legal or backup purposes. It does not permit us to use your audio in advertising, to license it to a third party, or to include it in any product.

Every upload requires three confirmations, recorded with a timestamp. They are conditions of upload, not checkboxes to click past — the database will not store a published file without all three:

• The audio is your own original work.
• It was not generated by an AI music model.
• It contains no copyrighted material you do not have the rights to use — including uncleared samples.

You must hold every right necessary to upload the file and to let a collaborator work with it. If a loop contains someone else's performance, sample, or stem, you need their permission before it goes anywhere near ColabLoop.

• The public sees a shortened, lower-quality preview that we generate — never your original.
• The full-quality file is released only to you and to a producer whose collaboration request you have accepted, through a short-lived signed link.
• Stems you upload inside a collaboration are visible only to the two producers in that collaboration.

Working with someone in ColabLoop does not transfer any rights automatically. When a collaborator first downloads your full file, we exchange both producers' contact and publishing details so you can sort ownership out between you, and before a collaboration can be marked complete you each confirm the split you agreed. Those confirmations are your statements to each other — we record them, we require them, and we do not verify, arbitrate or register them anywhere.

You can delete a loop at any time. We may remove content that breaks this policy, our Acceptable Use Policy, or that is the subject of a valid copyright notice — see the Copyright and DMCA Policy and how we decide in our Content Moderation Policy.
