Refund and Cancellation Policy

Upload quota is digital and delivered instantly, so here is exactly when money comes back, when an upload comes back, and how to ask.

Last updated 2026-09-13ColabLoop Ltd

The short version

  • Bought upload quota and haven't used any of it? Ask within 14 days and we'll refund it in full.
  • An upload rejected by the copyright check is returned to your quota automatically — you never need to ask.
  • Uploads you have already used on published files aren't refundable, because the service was delivered.

Who processes your refund

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payments, invoicing, tax and returns. A refund is issued by Paddle back to your original payment method, and typically appears within five to ten business days depending on your bank.

Unused upload quota

If you have bought upload quota and not used any of it, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it in full, no reason required.

If you have used part of it, those uploads are not refundable — each one published a file, which is the service being delivered. We can still refund the remaining unused quota at our discretion within the same 14 days; ask, and we will look at it.

Cancelling

There is nothing to cancel. Upload quota is a one-off purchase, not a subscription: there is no recurring charge, no renewal date and no plan to downgrade. You can stop using ColabLoop whenever you like, and unused quota simply stays on the account.

Your statutory right to cancel

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because upload quota is added to your account immediately, you are asked to agree at checkout that supply begins right away, which means that statutory cancellation right ends once delivery has happened.

The 14-day policy above is our own, offered voluntarily on top of that, and it does not affect any right you have that cannot be waived — including your rights if something we sold you is faulty or not as described.

Uploads returned automatically (not a payment refund)

Every file is screened against a database of commercial recordings before it goes live. If it is rejected, the upload it used is returned to your quota immediately and automatically. Your file is not published, and you are not charged again to try another one.

This is an upload going back to your account's quota, not money going back to your card. If you would rather have the money, the section above applies.

If something goes wrong on our side

If you were charged twice, charged for quota that never arrived, or the service failed in a way that consumed an upload, tell us and we will make it right — those are not discretionary, and the 14-day window does not apply to them.

Accounts closed for breach

If we close an account for breaching our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, unused quota is forfeited. If we close an account for any other reason, or retire the service, we refund unused quota.

How to ask

Contact us through our contact page with the email address you bought with and roughly when. You can also raise it directly with Paddle, whose details appear on your receipt. We aim to answer within two business days.

If you think a charge is wrong, please talk to us before asking your bank for a chargeback — it is almost always faster, and a chargeback usually suspends the account while it is investigated.
